Enlightenment does not mean you will be wise, happy or tranquil. It means you're wisdom, happiness and tranquility in itself ... A simple example, say, you receive a large monetary windfall and become very happy, and the feeling lasts until the money runs out. That's the happiness most of us refer to. When you're enlightened, you are the feeling itself that is not attached to or need anything to generate it. Same as in wisdom, tranquility and the rest.

The human mind has the habit of conjuring up reasons for not doing things that it believes does not yield benefits to the self. The power to create good is a divine gift, the generosity to allow others to partake is a blessing and the growth of compassion within is an endowment. Is your life worth living? Take this simple test and be honest. Get a month calendar and at the end of each day, put a “tick” on the date/day if it’s good, a “cross” if it’s bad and a circle if it’s neither. At the end of the month count the number of markings. Remember, more positive things are achieved on good days, you are at peace with yourself on the “neither” days and probably stressed on bad days. In any work place, one may be fully qualified but professionalism demands working well with people. In dealing with people, to build is to introduce positive changes gradually and not instantaneously demolishing existing systems and replace. Similarly, you can’t motivate people if more than half of them whom you’re intending to don’t like your face.
